Amy is a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager in the Tax Services group of Brown Smith Wallace specializing in the sales tax area.
Amy came to Brown Smith Wallace directly from the Missouri Department of Revenue, where she led the St. Louis and Cape Girardeau field audit program offices for the State of Missouri. Before that, she consulted on, or directly led, numerous litigation issues on behalf of the Department for sales tax matters. This background provides Amy with deep knowledge of sales tax technical and policy issues, both from the State of Missouri, and many other states as well, giving her a unique perspective on tax planning matters.
Amy’s sales tax practice includes state audit defense, ‘reverse audits’ (looking for savings type adjustments), consultation, planning, compliance (preparation and review), and overall sales tax minimization strategies. She brings strong project management skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to her clients.
Amy graduated from William Woods University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctorate degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association.
